Pipeline Crisis/Winning Strategies
The Pipeline Crisis is a broad-based collaborative committed to closing the stark divide between America's promise and the social, economic, and political realities of young black men. The initiative strives to achieve this by reversing the rising rates of poor early education, school drop outs, joblessness, and incarceration among young black men, and to increase their representation in the pipeline to higher education and professional endeavors.
The Pipeline Early Care & Education Working Group
The Pipeline Early Care & Education Working Group aims to provide young black males with the highest quality care and education from birth through kindergarten at the very beginning of the pipeline. The Working Group, in conjunction with United Way of New York City, has established the Winning Strategies Early Care & Education Fund to draw on the skills and compassion of dynamic leaders in the legal, financial, and nonprofit communities.
The Pipeline Early Care & Education Working Group is currently supporting three early childhood centers’ participation in a program that provides directors and teachers with rigorous training and support.
